The Aksyon Para sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran – Center for Active Non-Violence (Akkapka-CANV) is hosting the screening of BOSES (Voices),a 99minute HDV digital film in color DVD format, on November 28, 2008 (Friday) at 5:30 p.m. at SM Megamall Cinema 11.

Tickets are being sold at P100.00.  Proceeds will fund the livelihood projects of the base group in Alabat, and will finance seminars on non-violence for the people of Alabat.

BOSES (Voices) has been adopted by Unicef, DSWD and the Council for the Welfare of Children-Secretariat as one of its primary advocacy tools for their campaign dubbed “Children Against Violence”.

BOSES is a moving tale about rebirth and the power of friendship.  It tells the story of a mute, battered child who is able to get back his voice from an abused and desensitized existence with the help of a reclusive musician who gives him violin lessons and who, in the process, regains his own humanity.

This digital movie is our paean to the sublime beauty of music and its power to heal.  The film has been getting rave reviews in all its previous screenings.
